Travelling around on foot is a great exercise, and walking or hiking in some of the most pristine waters in Alberta with a fly rod in hand is second to none! You get to fish each pool, riffle, and run at your own pace without having to worrying about drifting right past it. To many the hike and scenery alone are well worth the trip; but be warned, this is going to be more work and a lot less ease than a float trip. But if this is something you are into, we at Hustle Trout Fly Fishing will enthusiastically share some of our favorite spots with you. You may get to meet some of our trainees and/or wranglers on these trips. Overnight/Multi-Day Trips- $450/day/person (Minimum 2 people)+ gst and gratuities
There is something to be said about heading back to a base camp and reminiscing about the day in front of a warm fire and tasty camp food after a hard day of fishing. We offer multiple options with multiday trips. All of our multiday trips are routine to us as we have worked tirelessly on figuring out trip durations, where the fish are, and when the best times to be out are. All of our multiday trips include breakfast, day time snacks and dinner for each night, non alcoholic beverages, flies, as well as any/all fly fishing gear that needs to be supplied.
Option #1-We can have a base camp pre-set up for your arrival where we will take off from there and return to the same camp site each night. This is a great way to explore the walk and wade streams more intimately as well as traverse our very unique small river systems in style with our inflatable rafts.
Option #2- Backpacking type trip where we live out of our backpacks for the duration of the trip. This is taxing on the body so not recommended for those inexperienced outdoorsmen or people wanting a more leisurely, laid back time. The places we backpack into are amazing as the fish have rarely seen a fly and are often eager. If you like to test your outdoor capabilities than this is the trip for you.
Option #3- Load up all the camping gear into the drift boat or rafts and float from point A to B. This is a great way to cover water, see lots of scenery, and most of all- relax and solely focus on the fishing!
Option #4- Load the gear onto a couple of quads and burn down the trail to extra secluded spots! Quad into backcountry lakes, or into sections of river not seen by many anglers!

Back Country Day Float Trips- $700/day + gst and gratuities (pricing based one/two anglers)
You would be surprised what we can float in our small custom rafts! Rivers you'd look at and say, "that's a nice walk and wade stream!" Float on down instead of doing the "cobble wobble" all day long! we can pack more gear, hit all the best features of a stretch of stream without breaking nearly as much of a sweat as hiking all day. Call it back country luxury, because that's what these trips are! Trip includes lunch and snacks, non alcoholic beverages, flies, as well as any/all fly fishing gear that needs to be supplied.
Back Country Day Quad Trips- $750/day + gst and gratuities (pricing based one/two anglers)
Some places you simply cannot get into and back out of in a day of hiking. Quad in locations offer the opportunity to truly get away from the crowds without camping overnight on the river. The ability to pack a little extra gear for the day is also a nice feature. Ask us about our stream and lake options. Trip includes lunch and snacks, non alcoholic beverages, flies, as well as any/all fly fishing gear that needs to be supplied.
Semi-Guided Trips
Take every type of trip we offer from above, knock some dollars off and BOOM! You're joining us on a semi-guided day where you get fish alongside us. But don't worry, although we will be fishing too our main focus is still to get you into bulk of the fish. Many anglers don't need to be told how to cast, where to cast or how to manage their line. Often it comes down to time spent on that particular watershed, and specific time of day/year to learn its secrets. Let us help take the guesswork out of it for you. These trips are not recommended for novice anglers who need more coaching or if you don't want to share the fish being caught. Because we are fishing with you, and this is what we do, if we end up catching a fish or two as well, you need to be okay with that. Rates vary depending on each circumstance for the semi-guided trips.
Hosted Trips
Here at Hustle Trout Fly Fishing Adventures if we aren't busy guiding, we are probably out fishing! We do a few hosted trips a year at various locations. As the trips come to fruition, we will usually post about it on social media and our home web page. If you are interested in tagging along, please inquire as these trips can range from semi-guided to fully guided trips depending on your needs. This option is popular as many anglers know how to fish, just not necessarily where and when. By joining us on a hosted trip, you get the knowledge of a fully guided day but only when you need! We have a great time fishing, camping, and just enjoying the great outdoors! Rates vary with hosted trips.
Species Specific/Head Hunting Trips
Are you an angler with a certain species on the mind? Or maybe you are looking for that one fish-"the perfect specimen"? This is something we can help you out with. Please be warned, depending on what you want, you will need to work for your reward here. All of our custom trips include lunch and snacks, non alcoholic beverages, flies, as well as any/all fly fishing gear that needs to be supplied.
